The brilliant scripted comedy from Seefood TV in Norway, What Happened to Solveig? has picked up new nominations for Berlin's Prix Europa 2024 and Barcelona's Serielizados Fest 2024 in the video fiction category.
This adds to the win for Best Make Up at the prestigious Gullruten Craft Awards 2024 and it's nomination as Best European Drama Series at Festival de la Fiction in 2023.
The format is a true crime parody, with actor and comedian Kevin Vågenes portraying all leading roles. Following an unsolved murder case of popular blogger Solveig Lyngåsen, journalists Henrik and Rachel decide to dig into the case, hoping to give Solveig's family an answer.
They quickly find out that the petty criminal Ole-Glenn Averøy, who ten years ago was suspected but not convicted, is still ostracized and hated by the village's inhabitants. But as Henrik and Rachel continue to dig, they find more and more residents who had good reason to get rid of Solveig.
