Developed in-house for NRK in Norway, the series is set to launch its second season on April 11th, with a third season already greenlit by the Norwegian network.
In addition to France and Germany, the format has gained significant attention internationally, with Satisfaction Iberia in Spain, ITV in the Netherlands, and Heartmade Media in Belgium also securing the remake rights. These deals were brokered by Belgium formats distributor Primitives, who is handling international distribution for the series.
Cammo goes bankrupt on her way to becoming a major influencer, who is then forced to take a job as a personal assistant for Kamilla, a young woman with Downs syndrome. At first, they seem to have nothing in common but, then an unlikely friendship unfolds.
Christina Rezk Resar, Head of comedy at NRK entertainment department says “I am so delighted and proud that Cammo, a fun and smart series, has reached and touched across borders. We always acknowledge the core values as the story is told with a satirical touch and a warm heart.”
"We are thrilled to see Cammo expanding its footprint internationally," comments Simone de Pruyssenaere, Director Sales & Acquisitions at Primitives distribution. "The series' unique blend of heart, humour, and authenticity has resonated with the Norwegian viewers, and we're excited to see how it translates to new territories."
