Nominees for the prestigious 62nd annual Rose d’Or Awards have been announced and we are delighted that 'Justice in Jail' has been nominated in the Factual Entertainment and Reality category.
Selected from over 700 entries across 13 categories, finalists were voted for by a jury of over 100 broadcast executives, distributors and producers, from across the international television industry.
The original Belgium format created by Woestijnvis and broadcast on Play4 sees Six highly placed officials from the Belgium justice system, locked in the country’s biggest and newest prison for four days. Each of them shares a cell with an ex-convict, who were once convicted for criminal offences ranging from theft and armed robbery to extortion and murder. A social experiment that results in a compelling reality series and sheds a new light on life in prison.
The Award Ceremony will take place on 27th November at King’s Place in London.
