BOXFISH Brazil has been appointed as the production company for the local series.
The 10x90' series will debut later this year, introducing Brazilian audiences to the show’s thrilling concept: contestants of all ages face 99 exciting games, where anyone can win—provided they don’t come in last.
The Belgian format, originally created by VRT and De Chinezen, has become a global sensation since its 2018 debut in Belgium, with adaptations in 11 territories. The Italian version launched successfully earlier this week on RAI2, joining successful runs in Germany (Sat.1), the Netherlands (SBS), and Norway (WBD). Upcoming versions are slated to air in the UK (ITV) and France (M6) this year.
Marcelo Silva, Artistic Vice President at RECORD, said: "It is an innovative format and the competition will captivate the Brazilian public, who are already curious to participate and watch the TV show."
Diego Guebel, President of BOXFISH, said: "We are very happy to take on this project—a truly unique format—and to collaborate once again with Record and our colleagues at Primitives. Our goal is to deliver a high-quality product that the audience will truly enjoy."
Simone de Pruyssenaere, Director of Sales & Acquisitions at Primitives, said: "We’re excited to debut 99 To Beat in Latin America, teaming up with BOXFISH as our production partner. Brazil’s vibrant entertainment culture makes it the ideal market for this dynamic and engaging format."
